Biography

Megadeth is an American thrash metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine.

Known for their technically complex guitar work and musicianship, Megadeth is one of the "big four" of American thrash metal along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer, responsible for the genre's development and popularization.

Their music features complex arrangements and fast rhythm sections, dual lead guitars, and lyrical themes of war, politics, religion, death, and personal relationships.

The tabs for this album are a mix of Bb Standard (Bb-Eb-Ab-Db-Gb), E♭ Standard (E♭-A♭-D♭-G♭), E Standard (E-A-D-G) and Dropped D♭ (for some of the songs I've tabbed for both 4 and 5 string). The tabs are written out "as if" they are in B and E Standard tunings and Dropped D to make them easier to read.

With this in mind, you're going to see a lot of interesting key signatures in here (and some places where there isn't one where you'd expect to see one!). This is because, rather than simply saying, "it's metal, they're playing in 'E', it's E minor..." I've actually gone to some lengths to make sure that the tabs are as clean to read as possible and this means using marking up with Modes.
